ELECTRONIC Abstract Guidelines

  1. Please include the following information below: Name, degree(s), title, institution, address, city, state, zip code, country, daytime phone, fax and email address.  Only the primary author will be listed in the syllabus; additional authors may be listed in the heading of the abstract.
  2. The abstract should conform to the following guidelines:
    • Author Name(s) - provide first name, middle initial (optional), last name, and degree(s) for each author.  The presenting author should be listed first.
    • The abstract should include:
      • Key Word(s)
      • Background
      • Statement of Program, Problem and Activities
      • Method(s)
      • Result(s)
      • Conclusion(s)
      • Three Learning Objectives
      • A Topical Outline
      • A Minimum of Three References
    • In total, the abstract text must contain no more than 300 words.  No images, charts or tables are allowed.
    • Avoid nonstandard abbreviations.  Spell out all abbreviated terms at first mention, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses that can be used subsequently.
